In Place of Folly – Norman Cousins
1961 1st ed. HC
(Book Resque)

Norman Cousins is one of the world's most articulate spokesmen for the point of view that the security and freedom of all men - including the American people - depend upon the control of force rather than upon the pursuit of force. In this book he sharpens and summarizes the points he has discussed with leading statesmen, philosophers, theologians and scientists in almost every corner of our globe. He deals with world problems and national problems and your problems. He tells why we must act and outlines how we must act. His message provides the premises and at least some of the specifics that will be necessary if we are to avoid the folly of nuclear catastrophe.
This book is marked as a 1st edition.  The hardcover looks great as well as the pages, except for the crease on the 1st page.
(PLEASE READ: I’m elderly and can’t smell very well and since all books and other items come from estate, tag or yard sales I don't know if the previous owner was a smoker nor if they had an animal.)
