Those were the days when a boundary dispute was an excuse for violence. But it might have worked out peaceably, for young Bailey had fallen head over heels in love with beautiful Jane Whitaker. It might have, that is, if Jane had not chosen to ignore his love. So, the feud between the Whitakers and the Baileys flared to a murderous pitch. This hard cover copy of the Gun Slinger dates 1951, it is an ex-library book and has the card and stamp inside for the LA County Library (see photos). The cover has just slight wear, mainly on the corners and edges. The inside pages look pretty good for a book that was a library book.
(Please Read – I’m elderly and can’t smell very well. All item come from estate, tag or yard sales, etc. so I don’t know if the previous owner was a smoker nor if they had an animal)
