Opening a Chestnut Burr is by Rev. E. P. Roe and was published by Dodd, Mead and Company, NY. Originally published in 1874 this edition dates 1885. The cover has some wear. There is a name on the inside and the spine is starting to separate (see photos). The rest of the book is delicate but still in beautiful condition for its age.
(Please Read – I’m elderly and can’t smell very well. All item come from estate, tag or yard sales, etc. so I don’t know if the previous owner was a smoker nor if they had an animal)
