Great Expectations is regarded by many as Dickens' greatest novel, is an excellent example of his widespread acceptance and influence.  Written with humor and understanding about both the good and evil in life, the characters are very real, even in today's age.

This book is an enthralling epic of the men and women who settled the New England wilderness.  It was originally copyright in 1942, this book is a 9^th printing that dates May, 1958.  It is an ex-library book from the High School Library in Great Falls, SC and does have their stamp in several places near the front and back of the book.  It also shows some wear on the cover and page edges while the actual pages look very good.

Spenser has his hands full when he takes on two cases at once. In the first, a high-minded university might be hiding a killer within a swamp of political correctness. And in the other, Spenser comes to the aid of a stalking victim, only to find himself the unwilling object of the woman's dangerous affection.  Dating 1999 this hardcover with dust jacket has just slight wear on dust jacket with the book looking like new.

As the novel opens, two men lie dead in the vestry of a London church.  One is Sir Paul Berowne – rich, cultivated, elegant; the other is an alcoholic tramp.  Their brutal fate pulls Adam Dalgliesh into the quicksand of a case whose mysteries touch not only its victims and suspects but, ultimately, the investigators themselves.  This hardcover with dust jacket dates 1986.  The jacket has some wear, the book and cover look great.

In this book, former President Jimmy Carter brings to life the Revolutionary War as it was fought in the Deep South, it is a saga that will change the way we think about the conflict.  He reminds us that much of the fight for independence took place in that region and that it was a struggle of both great and small battles and of terrible brutality.

This hardcover with dust jacket dates 2003, measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 (approx.) and contains 465 pages.  On a scale of 1 - 10 I rate the just jacket an 8.  It does show shelf wear but has done its job well because I rate the actual book and pages a 9.
